Noblesville Concert Bands

Noblesville High School is proud to offer 5 different concert bands; advanced, intermediate and beginner. Concert band is a curricular class and all members of the NHS band program are required to participate in concert band. Concert Band teaches the core curriculum of music education. Many of our concert band students also participate in Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pep Band and Noblesville Indoor Percussion Ensemble (NIPE).

Concert Band requires minimal commitment outside of the traditional school day including ISSMA Contest Evaluations, ISSMA Solo & Ensemble and concerts in the fall, winter and spring.

Advanced concert band students, who are current juniors and seniors, may elect to earn dual credit through Indiana University Kokomo.

Our Concert Bands participate in ISSMA Evaluations consistently earning Gold and Gold with Distinction honors.

Attire

Attire for performances is formal concert attire:

Gentlemen will need to wear black jackets, black pants, a white tux shirt, bow tie, and black dress shoes.

Ladies will need to wear a long black dress and appropriate formal shoes.

The attire may be purchased on your own; however, we will take orders for concert band attire annually in the fall for those that wish to purchase thorough our program.

Private Lessons

ALL STUDENTS are strongly encouraged to take private lessons. It is the single best way to improve their instrumental technique and musical ability. Private lessons take place during the school day. Private instructors have background checks through the school corporation. Parents and private instructors work out their own payment and lesson schedules.
