WOW! Just wow!! That was a pretty amazing weekend! It was so fun to see the kids put on such tremendous performances in Lucas Oil not once, but twice. If you haven't seen any of the announcement videos circulating, check out the amazing band Instagram page put together by the exceptionally talented Karen Piehl. I think I have watched it at least ten times. It is so fun to see them realize all of the blood, sweat, and tears they have put in is paying off!
Thank you to all of the parents that mobilized quickly to braid hair, load props, help find lost gloves and shoes, alert bus drivers, gather supplies, and all of the thousand other things that happened this weekend to support the kids in their process. The band family came together in amazing fashion!
A special shout out to the directors and staff! This team has got to be one of the most dedicated teams in the business. They work tirelessly to provide top notch instruction and music education for our kids. They help students achieve remarkable things I think most didn't know they had in them, They come early and stay late. They spend hours and hours and hours working on the show. They fix instruments, give inspiring talks big and small, build leaders, pause to ask about things the students are interested in, take pictures with group mascots, are wonderful sports, and spend countless hours supporting our kids in becoming the best version of their marching selves they can be. They help our students grow as marchers and as humans. They somehow motivate and mobilize 160+ teenagers to do fantastic things. Thank you, thank you, thank you to our wonderful directors and staff!

Semi-State
We have another big weekend ahead! Semi-state will be held at Ben Davis High School on Saturday, October 26th. 20 open class A bands will compete for 10 coveted spots at state finals. Like regionals, placements will not be announced. Instead, they will announce bands that move forward to state. They will also give "with distinction" captions. One special thing about semi-state is that all seniors in all bands join drum majors on the field in uniform for a senior retreat. It is a really neat way to recognize the contributions they have made to the program.
Performance Time - Noblesville takes the field at 2:45 PM.
Senior Retreat - All seniors will join drum majors for awards at 7:00 PM.
Clear Bag Policy - Ben Davis has a clear bag policy similar to the one at Lucas Oil.

Awards and Patches
Many people have been asking about patches and awards. All of the information about how/when a student earns awards is on the band website awards page. At the bottom of the awards page are two helpful links: buy a lost patch/pin and inquire about a patch that was never received. Sarah Scholl or Gretchen Horne will reach out regarding any ordered or overlooked awards.
